Who is this for?
This template is designed for Employees and Leads who want to document and validate training outcomes in a structured way. It's ideal for organizations that require employees to formally report what they learned after attending a training session — whether as a Trainee or a Trainer — and have it reviewed and approved by their Lead.
What problem does this workflow solve?
Training results are often left undocumented or informally communicated, making it difficult to track knowledge transfer and measure the impact of training investments. This template ensures every completed training is reported with structured data, reviewed by the responsible Lead, and results in a clear approval or rejection decision.
What this workflow does
- Training Report Initiated — The Employee triggers the reporting process after completing a training session.
- Submit Training Report — The Employee fills in the training details including training name, role (Trainee or Trainer), start and end date, training description, training results, and the Lead's name.
- Review Training Report — The Lead reviews the submitted report and decides: Approved, Revision Required, or Rejected.
- Revision Loop (if needed) — If the Lead requests a revision, the Employee updates the report and resubmits for review.
- Outcome — If approved, the process ends with a Training Report Approved status. If rejected, the process ends with a Training Report Rejected status and the employee is notified.
How to customize this workflow
- Training roles: Adjust the Trainee/Trainer category options to reflect the training participation types used in your organization.
- Form fields: Add fields like training platform, certificate upload, or post-training action plan to capture more detailed outcomes.
